"From Rushmore With Love" features a subtle Indian theme, while Ex-Kenicke member Lauren Laverne's vocals add a subtle flavour to "Don't Falter". The single "Shake Me" offers another feather in their cap. That’s not to say the album is a ground breaking piece music, but overall the felling it gives the listener make it well worth a try. ...more

The music that will emanate from the speakers of your stereo once you start to play this CD will fill your ears with an eclectic sound so often missing on other records. Premium Review Antidote to British summers (312 words)
by - written on 16/07/00 (Very useful, 35 readings)
Rating:

Never mind what the weather outside is like, this album will bring you all the sunshine you need. It just sounds like the band had a great time putting it together, and you'll find yourself grinning stupidly whenever you listen to it - it's *that* infectious. On The Ropes opens with the quite simply joyous funky-Indian-restaurant-sounding From Rusholme With Love, the aural equivalent of a ride on an old, wooden rollercoaster. It's solid, and doesn't go at breakneck speed, but it feels more likely that you might pitch off the edge and into free-fall than it does on the shiny, precision-engineered 20-second thrill rides. Quality Vocals on old tracks Not everyone likes MCing

Wicked filthy Basslines A little filled out in the middle

Great Vocals, wonderful layered songs, unstructured but brilliantt The odd song is a bit weaker

Two tracks fully back on form, many more promising hints, collaborating well with Muggs... ... and less well with Mad Dog.

Dance & Electronic - Trip Hop - 2003

34 unmissable house tracks that you just cannot live without. All big club hits. A good length of CD. There are only 34 tracks. I cannot really think of anything bad about it other than that. The music is all great. There sin't ONE song that lets it down. the case is a little awkward sometimes, but not impossible. Long live Pete Tong!.. or not?

True Nature Unfolds - Callisto
The best elements of post-metal in one package. Offers nothing of its own.

To Serve Man - Cattle Decapitation
Some good guitar moments. Songs lack any kind of coherent structure.

Symphonies Of Sickness - Carcass
Greater musical skill, more satisfying songs. May disappoint grindcore purists.

Karma Bloody Karma - Cattle Decapitation
More of the same, for fans. More of the same, for everyone else.

Isolate - Circus Maximus
Keeping the classic prog metal spirit alive through imitation. Focus on commercial ballads is disappointing.

Inflikted - Cavalera Conspiracy
Balls out metal album from the masters Aside from the lyrics? None

Humanure - Cattle Decapitation
More effort made to construct palatable songs. Entirely unoriginal.

Homovore - Cattle Decapitation
You may get a cheap laugh. Not fun.

Gore Obssessed - Cannibal Corpse
They haven't become a nu-metal band, at least. More of the same, worse than usual.

Heavy Metal: The Score - Elmer Bernstein
A great, long sought-after Bernstein treasure Really, there are none. This is a deserved release
