"One Cell in the Sea," A Beautiful Discovery (One Cell In The Sea - A Fine Frenzy)
Member Name: christophmoney
Advantages: Easy listen with simple lyrics you will love Disadvantages: Not for those who need catchy hooks and pounding beats Alison Sudol displays a perfect blend of strong lyrics, beautiful melodies, and mature vocals in A Fine Frenzy's debut album, "One Cell In the Sea." From the powerful vocals of the song "You Picked Me," to the lullaby like track, "Almost Lover," Alison shows she is among the best female vocalists of her day. The piano and violin set a soft backdrop for her mature voice, but too often allow the words of the songs to completely overshadow the music. The lyrics, vivid with word pictures, and rich in meaning, really make the album stand out from the crowd of similar female soloists. Down to earth and real, her passionate and open songs strike cords with her listeners, while her positive perspective make this album the stuff of comfort food. Overall, this album will be a very pleasant surprise for any who take the time to enjoy it. From the first track to the last you will be swept up in Alison's beautiful voice and perfectly crafted lyrics. Summary: A soft rock album with which Alison Sudol carves her niche among today's vocalists |
