Indeed, the epic 18 minute closer and title track borders on Katatonia worship whilst still sounding fresh and inventive, whilst the vocals sound so similar to those of Katatonia's singer Jonas Renske that I had to check the album sleeve to make sure that he wasnt in fact providing guest vocals on the track.

When portuguese doom metal band Before The Rain's debut full length 'One Day Less' was released in 2007 it largely went unnoticed, which is something of a shame as its an absolutely cracking album. 'One Day Less' borrows the lethargic and romantic gothic doom style evidenced by the likes of My Dying Bride and Mourning Beloveth whilst mixing it with the melancholy gothic rock stylings of later Katatonia, whilst the vocals too are a mix of My Dying Bride's lamenting growls and Katatonia's despondent clean singing. Like all CDs, it ends! Better incorporation of guitar talent. Still sounds the same as other bands. Catchy beats, awesome vocals, an all-round fantastic achievement for The Dø Maybe a bit too much for some people...
