Bryan Adams has been making albums for an age now and you worry if anything he releases will represent anything significantly different to warrant a purchase. This album is certainly more of the same from Adams, and as such nothing really stands out but all the songs are good and easy to listen to. The very familiar soft rock style is evident throughout, but Adams does add a greater element of pop making a lot of the tunes that more catchier for example in the excellent 'When You're Gone' with Mel C. On A Day Like Today sees the return of the legend that is Bryan Adams. The single When You`re Gone, which was a great collaboration with Melanie C, is possibly the best known single. However don`t be led to believe that it is the best! While When You`re Gone may well be a great single, this album is bursting with many other fantastic songs as well. My personal favourite is the title track, On A Day Like Today, however many people may disagree with me. Canada's best loved rock star is back with yet another smash hit album. There are an incredible 14 songs on this album and not one of them is short of greatness. Bryan's intelligent and meaningful lyrics run strong through all of the tracks and inscribe great images in your mind. 'On a day like today' also includes the hit single 'When you're gone' featuring Mel C, the Spice Girl. This album is a must for any Bryan Adams fan. ... Read the complete review

Thrash Metal - Blood Tsunami
Straightforward and accessible with enjoyable riffs and solos
Somewhat generic
Ten - Blitzkrieg
The band comfortably integrates into the nineties.
Later songs sound similar.
Resurrection Through Carnage - Bloodbath
Should please fans of the early Swedish death bands.
At times, sounds like a cheap imitation.
Nightmares Made Flesh - Bloodbath
Improved energy, technicality and fun factor.
Still an imitation at its core.
Insect Song - Beyond The Embrace
Improved vocal style, and less exclusively derivative of melodeath bands.
Songs lack the variety and energy of the previous album.
Demonic Electronic - Bile
The return of the darkness and evil.
Not as varied as previous works.
Copy Machine - Bile
You may know the original songs...
...but these covers are nothing special.
Breeding Death - Bloodbath
Crunchy, unpretentious old school death metal with great riffs and vocals
Short, even for an EP
Biohazard - Biohazard
Original fusion of hardcore punk and hip hop that works quite well.
Messier than later releases.
