Well I did say they had what it takes and after a little crisis last year, due to a change of line up and being dropped by their record label London Records, the Sugababes have hit the top spot with their Bootleg single 'Freak Like Me'. Well what can I say! I thought I should update a little and bring this album to your attention because it truly is a great start to an ever blossoming career for the girls! *~*~*~*~*~*~* I cannot stress to you how amazing and surprising this album is! The Sugababes are no regular girl group, with the average age of 16 Mutya, Siobhan and Keisha formed when they were 12. Things just started from there. In ... Read the complete review

The Sugababes, one of the freshest talents in British pop (pop is not really my cup of tea). The Sugababes offer a unique brand of pop, accessible to everybody, with no artificial flavourings or preservatives. The pop world is full of stylists who churn out plastic artists, following silly dance routines and doing everything to stay on the front pages. On paper, the Sugababes look like another manufactured band, however I disagree… ++ Who are they? The Sugababes are a schoolgirl trio from London (aged around 16), I read somewhere that they are like a Benetton advert in terms of their ethnicity, Siobhan is Irish, Keisha is a mix of ... One Touch from The Sugababes is my favourite album from all of the albums they have released. This was their first album and has the original line-up of babes which in my opinion, was the way it should have stayed. Siobhan Donaghy leaving the band was awful in my opinion and she had such a beautiful voice, i thought it was a real shame when she left. The first song in the album is Overload. This was the babes first single and the way that catapulted them into the limelight and into becoming the stars they are today. Its an amazing catchy tune with a great chorus. Next is One Foot In which is equally as good as Overload and addictive once you start ... Read the complete review

The sugababes may not be a household name but on the evidence of their debut album they definitely should be! As they themselves profess, "i'm older than my years", and this album perfectly brings home this point, with a seductive blend of rousing r'n'b/pop anthems and gorgeous ballads (look to New Year for proof). R'n'B based but more accessible than many harder outfits on the scene, this is not an album for your average teeny-bopper but certainly one that everyone will enjoy. These teen girls are truly talented, writing infectious melodies and performing them with a professionalism beyond their years. The album begins with the ... Read the complete review

As much as i support Girls Aloud, i do admit that Sugababes have been doing this type of music longer and with more orginality. I think they've done well to survive almost seven albums and several member changes and new line up's and the UK has always accepted new members. This album features the line up of Mutya, Shiobhan who left and Keisha who is today the only original member in the band. This is quite an impressive album, when i listened to it, I thought that it was quite original and I liked the rough and edgy live production and vocals. This was released years ago now, and they would be hailed as the new biggest girl band if this was released ... Read the complete review
