      Very helpful

A must have album for Bally fans only really!

Right lets get this out of the way shall we? Yes I am a huge, HUGE fan of the gorgeous, the talented Michael Ball. Furthermore yep I'm more than slightly obsessed too when I come to think about it. I am a Ballette 'Super fan' with everything he's ever released being mine and its so bad that all the cds I have twice which means I have a set for my living room and my bedroom and the fact that I am a member of his official fanclub always raises eyebrows. Its this simple. I love him and am convinced if we met he'd fall hopelessy in love with me too....sigh.

Anyway back to reality now and I've admitted that and got it out of the way and shared my creepy thoughts with you I'm here really to talk aboutt he cd 'The Voice'. It was released in 2006 and consists of 11 tracks.

      One Voice
      The Living Years
      Where Do I Begin
      Since Youve Been Gne
I Dont Wanna Talk About It
I Dont Wanna Miss A Thing
      If Youre Not The One
      Lyin' Eyes
      Everybody Hurts

What you will immediately notice about this album is there is nothing on it to which Michael is really known for. For a lot of people his name is synonymous with musical theatre and though this is all what I think of as easy listening cd really it was a rather modern release at the time however there is still a mix with Hero (Mariah Careys famous song) and If Your Not The One (Daniel Bedingfield) on it.

One Voice which is a Barry Manilow hit is a nice opening with him being able to belt out the song and trill part of the way through it introducing you to his soft voice allowing you to hear what makes a musical singer and I think its a great opening track choice. The Livin Years he sings with passion, Since Youve Been gone shows Michael attempting and succeeding at a slightly rockier tune and his lungs are more than capable too and then he knocks out but my favourite song which is the very old fashioned track Where Do I Begin? to which again his range copes and his soft syrupy voice really takes charge of it and I have to admit it is my favourite track on the whole album.

      So As A Whole....

Nice mix of tunes which allows him to hop from a classic to a more modern day classic but is this a must have album? Well no to be fair it isn't, not in my opinion anyway. Once again this is Michael doing covers and nothing original and all of these songs, he's already done on much better albums that he's released. There is nothing wrong with it though to be fair, its still a top album but for me not my favourite out of everything he has ever done. Its not a gloomy album though and his voice, as ever is simply amazing!

Available from Amazon new and used but in condition from 1p with £1.25 p + p.
