... songs, "Raise Your Hands" or "Wild in the Streets", and a major mistake - they do not follow "Bad Medicine" with "Shout" as is so very customary of Bon Jovi during concerts. Despite my complaints, I do enjoy listening to this. As I said, Bon Jovi Live are amazing, and if you have ever seen them live then this album lets you sit back, close your eyes and be transported back to a brilliant night. So what's on the album? It's My Life - Really well known, absolute cracker song...more

Premium Review One Wild Night - Live 1985-2001 - Bon Jovi: Money Making Scheme (783 words)

"Bon Jovi" and "Live" usually mean something utterly breathtaking : Indeed, they have never failed to amaze me when they are live. This album was released as a "Plug" for the bands latest tour, "One Wild Night", named after one of the most popular songs on the Crush Album. I think that someone, somewhere took a look at the most popularly downloaded Bon Jovi songs from Napster and found that the live ones were the ones that fans most readily sought after. Maybe I'm a sceptic, but I just feel that Dollar signs lit up in someone's eyes - Yet another thing for us fans to buy, and sure why not include the ...  Read the complete review

Have been a Bon Jovi fan, since i first saw them support Kiss, many many years ago(too long too remember the actual date and year!!) Having bought all their albums so far, i had always hoped that they would bring out a live album. The amin reason was because they are one of the best live acts you will see (if you get the chance) The album is well put together and offers a mixture of their earlier work(runaway) and their most recent single(one wild night) There are 15 songs in all, but to be fair, a band as big as Bon Jovi and with eight other albums out. I thought that they might have been able to make this a double cd album and not just the ...  Read the complete review

Hugely atmospheric and moving A little samey.

Great variation of sounds and styles, musicianship, Mike Patton's voice the 'throat', too much distortion in the guitars

Lots of bangers Nothing specific

Fantastic original songs and covers Ridelly diddely - does make you giggle at first

Mailny great The last one!

Vii - At Vance
More fast and slow power metal with an even more substantial eighties touch. Disappointing change of direction, with less focus on neoclassical guitars.

Yes: Expanded And Remastered - Yes
The first album by a great group Its actually terrible.

Worlds Collide - Apocalyptica
'Last Hope' is good, thrashy, old-school Apocalyptica. The band is all too happy to abandon its identity.

Volume 8: The Threat Is Real - Anthrax
More experimental and fun than other mid-to-late-nineties Anthrax. Still nothing like the good ol' days.

Time And A Word: Expanded And Remastered - Yes
Better than the first with some great relistenable tracks The unique Yes style still not shown through

Stomp 442 - Anthrax
Groove metal fans may enjoy it. This is horrible.

Sound Of White Noise - Anthrax
If you're desperate for more generic early-nineties hard rock/grunge. Doesn't sound like Anthrax, and John Bush doesn't impress.

Eclipse - Amorphis
Skilfully combines the band's disparate styles under a talented new singer. Over-reliance on slow, gothic rock pieces becomes tiresome.

Bring The Noise - Anthrax
Rap metal that isn't terrible, balanced out with a couple of near-classics. May alienate metal fans, and hip hop fans may not like the later tracks.

Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - Apocalyptica
Fantastic take on some classic Metallica songs. Shame the album is only 8 songs long not 88.
