Advantages: 20 tracks , Excellent sounds
Disadvantages: None
What an excellent buy for Xmas in my opinion. If anyone is at all interested in the sound of Diana Ross or the Supremes, then this album is for you. I have always been a fan of her music and recently bought this cd. The album traces her musical talents with the Supremes to her individuality. The first 4 tracks are classic records of the early days. These are: Where Did Our Love Go Baby Love You Can't Hurry Love Reflections. Music of the era of 1962-1964 and 1967 will never be dated as these songs are quite often played. After the Supremes split up, Diana went on to an illustrious solo career. The rest of the album shows how diverse her singing talents are. Tracks 5,6, and 9 were released in 1970. These are: Reach Out And Touch Ain't No Mountain High Enough I'm Still Waiting The above tracks are more in the way of the original Motown music. No 7 on the album was released in 1973. This is called Touch Me In The Morning, and is one of my favourite ballards of Diana Ross. The other tracks are: Love Hangover Upside Down Theme From Mahogany Endless Love (A duet with Lionel Richie) Why Do Fools Fall In Love (No13) Chain Reaction (No14) When You Tell Me That You Love Me One Shining Moment If We Hold On Together The Best Years Of My Life Your Love Let's Make Every Moment Count Tracks 13 & 14 sound very much like songs recorded in the Supremes era. This is a cd I will listen to over and over again.

- 16/04/02 I love Tamla Motown, especially The Supremes. By many accounts though Diana was a bit of a bitch. I haven't got this album so it was useful to read your op, thanks. |
