"Operation Stackola" came out in 1995, straight after the release of this Oakland, Californian rap group's hit single "I Got 5 On It" blew up in popularity. With the hype of this classic cut alone, they managed to reach platinum sales (despite the fact that this seems to have made them into nothing more than one-hit wonders as a result). Although they haven't relased new material since 2005, the duo, consisting of Yukmouth and Numskull are still active, and continue to make new music as The Luniz in the genreal West Coast Gangsta Rap style. 1.
