Advantages: Definately some good tunes

Disadvantages: Most of the album is poor

I first heard about MGMT when I was at Reading Festival so I went to go and check them out. I really enjoyed their set so when I got back home I was keen to purchase some of their music. I got their singles, "Time to Pretend" and "Kids" I thought they were fantastic so I also bought this album. I have got to admit I was rather disappointed with it. I thought the album contained a lot of songs that all sounded quite similar, and I found it pretty tedious to listen to. There are a couple of other good songs on the album. One that took my fancy was, "Electric Feel". I think that all the songs named have a funky, unique sound that is hard to beat, but I do not feel the same about the rest of the album. Personally, I think this album is not all it cracked up to be, all of the good songs are available as singles so I would just stick with them.

Summary: Just buy the singles
