As Columbian bombshell Shakira promotes her latest album, She-Wolf, it prompted me to revisit her 2006 offering 'Oral Fixation Vol.2'. This album is often overlooked, mainly because the single 'Hips Don't Lie' was such a juggernaut chart-hit; it seemed to steal most of the album's spotlight. However, it deserves a lot more attention than it got, because really, it's a great album by an immensely talented lady. The album begins with a Gregorian choir chanting the Lord's prayer. In the opening 10 seconds, you realise that Shakira's cascading blonde locks may make her resemble your typical pop-princess but that, she is not. The album opens with feisty 'How Do You ... **INTRODUCTION** The album artwork is of Shakira wearing nothing but she has a tree covering her up. She is holding an apple and in my opinion it is in Adam and Eve style. There is also a baby trying to grab towards her. It would definitely get your attention, as it is not something you would expect to see. Now onto the most important part and that is, the song's on the album. I will also give the length of each track in minutes and what I rate each track out of five. 1. How Do You Do - (3.47 ) 3/5 To open this album it has a controversial song, which is about God. It is asking him lots of questions for example does he cries or is he happy. She ... ORAL FIXATION 2 is the tite of Columbian latin pop star SHAKIRA's fifth studio album released in 2005. Shakira has been compared too artists like Beyonce and Rihanna. The front cover of the album has Shakira pretending to be Eve eating a forbidden apple which had to be chaged in some countries because of it's religious content. The album features 11 songs which range from 3 to 5 minutes. The sexualness of the lyrics and sensual feeling in each song is what defines this album. In ANIMAL CITY and YOUR EMBRACE the lyrics ooze a sexual feeling and are very powerful with the sexual innuendo. The mixture of latino and english words makes it difficult for the lyrics ... Oral Fixation Vol 2 was latin super star and diva Shakira's 2nd english album however this was her 8th album overall and also the Oral Fixation Vol 1 was a spanish single she released though its spanish name was Fijacion Oral. Oral Fixation Vol 2 was released in 2006 leaving 5 years between her 1st and 2nd english album so it was well anticipated by the fans. This is a really great album especially if you are a fan of Shakira's music, there isnt anything really disapointing on this album and it is just as good as her previous UK album. You can buy Oral Fixation Vol 2 in most good music stores for around £5, also its on Hot Offer at the minute and just 91p to ... Read the complete review

I was disappointed when i purchased this album, im a big fan of Shakira and loved the Laundry Service album but i felt this effort was below par. She has an outstanding voice but i feel the songs just arent good enough. Getting a big name such as Carlos Santana was a huge boost for the album and i enjoyed the son he featured in, which was a rarity on this album. Songs like hips don't lie made me buy this album and there are a few great songs but most of them didnt grow on me at all well and i havent listened to it much since buying it, a lot of the songs dont have the quality and consistency as the album laundry service, one good point is that the ... More great eighties heavy metal.
Nothing new after 'Screaming for Vengeance.'

One or two memorable moments, Owens isn't a bad singer.
Slow and tedious, lacks any originality.

Violin used well in numerous songs, and band crawls out of the gloom of the previous album.
