There will always be quite a lot of strange feeling surrounding Mayhem, a band whose notoriously selfish and satanic guitarist was killed and whose original vocalist killed himself. Their satanic imagery on stage does little to change that. Mayhem have come to define Black Metal and their latest album Ordo Ad Chao won numerous plaudits from various critics, I'm not all that wild about it though. Whilst the musicianship is faultless and Hungarian vocalist Attilla Csihar pulls off the vocals perfectly which some may seem necessary and superb for the genre.
