kick off with one of my most hated songs of all time, YMCA. Any song which encourages people to stand in a row and put their hands in Various positions is criminal. This is a beefy enough remix, though I just cannot stomach the campness of it all. Alcazar is much better, Sexual Guarantee is a fusion of pop and disco with bright and enthused vocals from the sexy Swedes. It takes the best bits of Chic and Earth Wind and Fire and whips them up into a modern frenzy. Great stuff! is this splendid remix album. Almighty specialise in cheesy club remakes most of the time, but in their eariler days they actually turned in some amicable remixes of well known Artists . This CD album has twenty two tracks spread over two discs, so you get a fair handful of songs for your money. The album gets underway with a robust remix of Swedish pop faves, Alcazar. The World We Live In samples a bit of Genesis, but don t panic, it works quite well and the remix is bright and sparkly with enough dancefloor clout. The Almighty series are back with another blinder, or not! This album is a two disc set of dancefloor friendly covers and high energy happy music. There is one disc of unmixed music and then on the second disc, a delightful megamix, mixed by someone bloke called Dan Murphy who is apparently very big in Australia. We begin with a cover of Paris Hilton's 'Stars Are Blind.' A totally unnecessary cover, watery, vapid and lacking anything that would entice me up onto a dancefloor.
