It was towards the end of 1997 that I first heard of Embrace. They were a new fresh band from Huddersfield and without even releasing a single had everyone raving about them. For the months that followed they became media darlings, everyone loved them. The first album was superb, it shook up the music industry and suddenly Embrace were the new Oasis. Then a few years later the follow up, Drawn From Memory was released and although no where near as good as its predecessor it was still a decent album. By this time Danny and the lads didn’t seem to be able to do anything wrong. The McNamara brothers were writing and releasing some great materials. That was until ... Read the complete review

Out Of Nothing is Huddersfield boy band Embrace' fourth album and arguably their best. The British Indie-Rock band continue with there somewhat unknown magical work with some outstanding tracks such as Gravity, Ashes, A Glorious Day and Out Of Nothing. Previously their work was compared to the likes of The Verve and Oasis but on this album i get the more Coldplay feeling and it's not just because Chris Martin co-wrote Gravity. The songs and my ratings are as follows: 1 - Ashes - The best song on the album and the best song by embrace in my opinion. This song is truly outstanding. It's so calm and beautiful and has to be one of my favorite songs of all time. ... Read the complete review

Embrace come from Brighouse, West Yorkshire and were formed in 1997. While Oasis have or had the Gallagher brothers and Doves have the Williams brothers, Embrace have the McNamara brothers, Danny on vocals and Richard on guitar. The band also features Steve Firth on bass, Mike Heaton on drums and Mickey Dale on keyboards. Out Of Nothing was released in the UK on 13/9/04 and reached #1 in the album charts. In fact it's Embrace's biggest selling long player. I bought my copy in Poundland purely because it included the magnificent Gravity. I must admit I wasn't expecting the rest of the album to be much cop. Was I to be proved wrong? Here are my thoughts on the ... Read the complete review

Their 4th Studio Album changed everything for them and gained millions of new fans which shot the album to the top of the charts... Mickey Dale(Keyboards) Mike Heaton (Drums) Steven Firth (Bass) Richard McNamara (Guitar, vocals) and the frontman of course- Danny McNamara... Being a big Embrace fan, Their last few albums were excellent, and in my opinion, didnt get the credit they deserved, but, thankfully with this album, they have done the job right and got noticed... Well done to the management for that.... As usual, the tracks on this album are like a tidal wave of guitars coming for you at high speed.. Pure Rock from start to ... Read the complete review
