I was introduced to ELO by my brother, his bought the albums and Ilistened to them. It wasn't until the 80s thought that I really 'found' this album and since then i've bought the vinyl, cassette and CD versions. My first copt even had the cardboard copy of the spaceship from the cover.

All the tracks are individual and distinct. Tracks such as Concerto for a Rainy Day and Wild West Hero are pure orchestral magic. Mr Blue Sky and Turn to Stone are nothing less than pop at its best.

If ever an album defined the 70s shift in music, this is it.

No, not the best but it runs The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers a very close second.
