Out of the Blue was the Electric Light Orchestra's big break, and although it's predecessor a New World Record included hits like Telephone Line and Livin' Thing, this gave them a new purpose and led to them winning mnay awards. Out of the Blue, along with Eldorado, is as good as ELO ever got in my opinion. Amongst the general public this is a band that is very underrated and the best of ELO is of the highest standard, a standard surpassed only by The Beach Boys and The Beatles, but not all of the time. I was introduced to ELO by my brother, his bought the albums and Ilistened to them. It wasn't until the 80s thought that I really 'found' this album and since then i've bought the vinyl, cassette and CD versions. Whoa! If anything Out Of The Blue is a case of too much information. There are seventeen tracks and if you know ELO then you will come to understand that every track sounds like a pop single, and this album is no different.
