Hidden anthem (Out Spaced: Selected B-sides & Rarities 1994-1998 - Super Furry Animals)

Advantages: Hidden anthem in "The man dont give a f**k Disadvantages: Mwng the original
In a way this is the first Mwng with it being mostly welsh. The idea for a b-side album is nothing new but with it being almost all welsh it may not appeal to most fans which is probably why it isnt readily available everywhere. There is nothing welsh about the opening that breaks open the langage barrier with "The man dont give a f**k" which is should be the anthem of the 90's but no one has heard of it. The album then changes its tempo in the typical Super furries way with a slower song sandwiched in between an upbeat and a sing along song. "Smokin" makes you want to sing before you are sent into a deep relaxation before "Guacamole" shatters the silence. Outspaced then steps up with more rhythm present in "Focus Pocus/Debiel" then is slowed down in "Fixed Idris" and "Pam V". You then float as in all their albums to the end. Unlike the rest "Pass the time" is the way i feel about this album with the exception of one or two songs. It is clear that the Super furries didnt learn from this with it being almost identical to Mwng. Summary: |
