Esmee Denters is a twenty one year old singer/songwriter from the Netherlands.

I loved Esmee Denters debut single ; Outta Here. In fact it was one of my favourite songs from last year. To me , she seemed to come from nowhere , and so when I read an article in a magazine , I was suprised to learn that she had made herself known on youtube singing songs by Beyonce Knowles and Justin Timberlake. Timberlake found out about her , and signed her to his record label Tennman Records.

Outta Here is the debut album from Esmee Denters released in the United Kingdom on January 11th 2010. The album comes under the pop and R&B genres. The album is available to buy from play.com for a price of £7.99 which I think is a good price considering the album was only released this month.

First of all , this album has a very 'pop' sound to it , which means pop lovers will love it. It's nice to hear an album that's all pop , as these days there doesn't seem to many 'just pop' albums about , as they all seem to be mixed with other genres like r n b and pop/rock. There are some great tracks on here , my favourites being Outta Here , Admit It , Victim and Bigger Than The World , although I can't say that I dislike any of the songs on the album! Justin Timberlake fans may be interested in this album as not only did he sign this singer to his record label , he's also played a part on the album co-writing , features on a couple of the tracks , as well as being the executive producer!
I really like Esmee's voice because it is unique. She has a very powerful voice , and certainly has her own vocal style. Although I really loved her performances on this album , I can't help but feel that she was holding back a little bit , and could have 'let go' a bit more! I would have liked if there had been some ballads on this album ; they really would have shown off her lovely voice!
Although I really like this album , and Esmee , I can't help feel that this album is hew 'own style' as it doesn't sound that original. I really like the songs on here , but I feel like I've heard them all before! The album kind of reminds me of JoJo's style , although I think that I prefer Esmee to JoJo. For me this isn't a bad thing and certainly doesn't put me off the album , as it is one that I can listen to over and over again , and that has got to be a good thing?!

I would definetely recommend this album! I reckon she's one to look out for in the future!

      Thanks for reading!
