more jazzier tunes but there s still a fair amount of blues. There s some cracking tracks here from musicians from different backgrounds - wealthy and poor including big name Artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway and ones who died a young death like Lil Green and Fats Waller. It has to be said that all of these artists are impressive characters and my favourite song on the album comes from one of the toughest of the lot who would put most of your modern day rappers to shame. Across The Universe - Soundtrack

Premium Review Fab Four Anyone! (314 words)

as it contains all of the songs from the Various albums which I most wanted. Vocalists such as Dana Fuchs (Sadie in the film) and Martin Luther (Jo Jo) really stand out, while actors like Jim Sturgess and Joe Anderson are also amazing on the tracks. There are also songs sung by Eddie Izzard and Joe Cocker, as in the film. It really is a great cd and this delux version is a double cd which follows the tracks in the order they are in the film; it features all the songs which appear in the film, which is great! Favourites of mine are Something, Strawberry Fields, Helter Skelter, Oh Darling, I am the Walrus (sang here by Bono of U2) and Dear Prudence. ...
