Cruachan's fourth album continues to adapt to their idea of mainstream folk metal, however bizarre the concept may be, and disappointingly compromises its integrity as a result. The folk and metal elements are still balanced effectively, though it tends towards the former, and even the metal itself is noticeably less extreme and more radio-friendly in its forced attempts at catchiness that often only serve to irritate.
