Cruachan's fourth album continues to adapt to their idea of mainstream folk metal, however bizarre the concept may be, and disappointingly compromises its integrity as a result. The folk and metal elements are still balanced effectively, though it tends towards the former, and even the metal itself is noticeably less extreme and more radio-friendly in its forced attempts at catchiness that often only serve to irritate. The album is still an odd mix of styles, some of which are incredibly effective and others not so much.
