WELCOME BACK SNOOP D O DOUBLE G, finally after pathetic attempts at albums, namely everything he has released since the groundbreaking DOGGSTYLE, the playa, the pimp the boss is back on top of the rap world.
Snoops newest album, "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss" is reminiscent of the form that landed him the the 1st ever #1 spot on americas billboard 100 for a debut rap album (doggystyle), in other words its awesome!!!!!
The album starts of with Don Doggy, a pimpin take off of a godfather scenario, which places snoop as the godfather acceptin calls from people needing his help, showin how influential he really is, Don Doggy is followed by The Boss Would Like to See You, which is basically a list of the people snoop 'owns' and people who he has helped out in the past.
The first 'real' track is Stop Light, which is banging, its got a good fast beat, plenty of bass and some more of snoops unique lyrical ability, definately one of the better tracks on the album.
Unlike all of snoops other albums, he touches on his lighter side so much more in this new hit album, tracks like I Believe in You, and I Miss That Bitch talk about snoop fallin back in love with his family ad how they have supported him, and it talks about people in the game still being hurt emotionally, just like regular people, for the first time showing that snoop and the rest of the gangster crews arent all about mack 10's an ho's, they are as easily hurt as most people in the world.
In the final track, snoop lays it all on the line, tellin the world how it is, and how he's going to be, the line "...Suge Knights a bitch//and thats on my life..." snoops shows no love lost between him and his former Death Row label owner, is snoop taking the beef to far with this one?? i doubt it, right now snoop is on cloud 9, he is untouchable, recaliming the king of rap title, and furthering the west cost/east coast coalitions, with guests like
Jay-Z and Redman, snoop certainly is the ambassador for the peace between the coasts, like he said, you cant spell WEST without the E S.
So anyone into rap needs to buy this album, if u were disappointed by the Last Meal, like we all were, dont doubt buying this album, its the best album ive bought for a long time!

Not bad, but could have done with a little more about the music, and not just the topic of the songs. The writing style is a little hard on the eye, too, I'm afraid.
