It is good to see a rapper constantly changing his music and staying fresh. Everybody who knows anything about rap music will tell you that snoops first album, doggystyle is the stuff of legends and he has not come close to it since. But the fact that he has not tried to go back to those memorable gangster rap days is good, he knows he will not be able to top that so he has taken a different more fucky approach in recent years.

Tha last meal was my 2nd favourite ever snoop album and thankfully snoop has stuck to this new formula of original and quite out there rap tunes nowadays. This album takes a few listens but it is extremely good.

My favourite snoop tune in the last 5 years is on this album, beautiful, a neptunes produced song is outstanding, very catchy and nothing like any other snoop release.

Ballin does take you back to the 70's with an appearance from the dramatics, one of the other stand out tracks.

Kokane was all other the last snoop album but he is only in acouple of tracks now, calls himself Mr Kane now as well! Nut his influence comes through in a lot of tracks, certainly brings the funk back into rap. Lots of artists appearing on this album, redman, Jay Z Ludacris, Nate dogg(obviously) and back with rage again as well(thebest woman rapper this is).

But just to prove snoop aint gone soft, the last track, A message 2 fat cuzz, absolutely slates suge knight, and refers to him as 'simon'. Well deserved remarks about suge as well.

A fresh funky summer album from snoop. Good stuff.
