Painted From Memory - Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach

Burt Bacharach must be one of the most successful songwriters in Amercian history penning such classics as 'I Say A Little Prayer', 'Walk On By' and 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' throughout the 60's. He suffered a lapse in consistency and quality through 70's and 80's and into the early 90's and was largely disappointing aside from a few exceptions (Arthur's Theme is still a great song as is On My Own). It was with great relief and pleasure that 1999 marked his return to form with this collaboration with Elvis Costello, an artist too suffering from a lack of form.
