As a lover of hip hop and 'something a bit different', I was drawn to Panjabi MC's album. You can call me sheltered if you like, but it's unlike anything I've ever come across in my life! Almost completely recorded in Panjabi, the album is a mix of Hip Hop and traditional Indian music. The result is a diverse album of 14 tracks, some of which I absolutely love. Some are recorded in English, like 'Sounds of the Dez', but the majority is recorded in Panjabi. Around half the tracks are not Hip Hop, but focus more heavily on the 'bollywood' sound.
