The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are, in my opinion, one of the quintessential ska punk bands of our generation. Forming in 1983 they certainly have experience in their field and are dubbed as the creators of the 'ska-core' genre. Pay attention was released in 2000 and to this day is still one of my favourite albums of all time. This album contains the classic Bosstones traits - blasting punchy horns, maniac drumming and Dicky Barretts strong, melodic vocals. Track by track this album is a winner with it's upbeat and danceable songs only slowing down for track number 6 - High School Dance (a post-columbine commentary of teens).
