I have never bought any albums from the Eurthmics, or even either's solo albums as they never appealed. But.... I bought this as it seemed different from what they've done before, and alot of the stuff I heard sounded good. So, after my purchase I was pleasantly surprised to find that in fact the album is quite good. The typical Eurthmics sound of the 80s is not to be found here (which is a good thing), and the wussy solo Annie material is nowhere to be found either.... Peace has a great mix of poppy songs, with mellow relaxed tracks, all pleasing even the most difficult listener. The best songs are 17 Again, and I Saved The World Today as you might expect. But, other songs including Beautiful Child, Peace is Just A Word and I've Tried Everything are also really good. I do recommend this to anyone who likes general music, it won't keep dance heads happy, or even people expecting an 80's revival but to the rest of us it's good enough...

Do you love the voice of Annie Lennox or what? She really knows how to sing. I bought this album after going to the Wembly concert which was incredible. Well by now those of you who don't like the voice on Annie Lennox will have clicked elsewhere. This is a 'must buy' for any fan. '17 again' is a new track that will take you back to the 80's. You won't find any thumping heavy base to drown out the lyrics and tune here, just pure unadulterated pop. If you're in a happy poppish kind of mood, or want to be, put this on and sing along. I do, but only when the house is empty. Enjoy.
