Permission to Rock (Permission To Rock)
Member Name: Catherine Tier
Advantages: All of the best rock tunes on one album Disadvantages: lacks ballads
Not being a big fan of Rock Music, I was a bit concerned when my colleagues started playing this cd last week. However, my attention was soon captured when I began recognising some of the tracks being played! I was suddenly transported back to my secondary school days when I briefly dabbled with ?rock? and ?grunge? music! It was great to hear those familiar anthems such as Alice Cooper?s ?Poison? and ZZ Top?s ?Gimme All Your Lovin? and Argent?s ?God Gave Rock and Roll To You?. Of course, the CD contains lots of tracks I have never heard of, but quite enjoyed discovering. These include Damn Yankees ?Piledriver? and David Lee Roth?s ?Yankee Rose?. An extra special bonus for Rock Fans comes in the form of not one, but two Darkness tracks. The group who are strong contenders for the Christmas Number One spot do not disappoint and both tracks are real get up and ?rock? tunes! Summary: |
