There's already a slight groove metal element to the guitars that would take over completely in later albums, but all of the classic Anthrax elements are still there, sitting comfortably alongside the new style - as ever, great importance is placed on catchiness, and Belladonna's vocal melodies are more compelling than ever, while the whole album finds a perfect balance between aggression, melody and despair, helped a great deal by lyrics that surprisingly aren't bad considering this is the ba...more

If you're desperate for more generic early-nineties hard rock/grunge. Doesn't sound like Anthrax, and John Bush doesn't impress.

Excellent, stripped-down riffs and song-structures, superb vocals and lyrics, great atmosphere None

More energetic and powerful metal performance than the last E.P. Less material.

Some more old-school heavy metal for you. It's not particularly good.

Some good hardcore-thrash crossover stuff, and interesting new material. Comedy songs are a bit rubbish, and some of the covers too basic.

Rap metal that isn't terrible, balanced out with a couple of near-classics. May alienate metal fans, and hip hop fans may not like the later tracks.
