21st Century. Their music was still working though and the amazing tones of Mick Hucknall were still ringing true. Who are they: UK based group, fronted by the Red headed sexy beast Mick Hucknall. On this album: There are a few tracks I would like to recommend here. The glorious Sunrise lives up to its name, the track sounds like a ray of sun, with bright breezy vocals and a lovely warm chorus which makes you think of holidays and sitting by poolsides. Hucknall is singing about love, but he may well have been singing about the sun, as the track is just so summery sounding. It always puts me in a good mood and should really have opened the album. I also suggest ...

Stars - Simply Red

I have always been a fan of Simply Red , or more especially Mick Hucknall, as we grew up in the same area of Manchester, and now my son is about to go to the same school that he did, namely Audenshaw High School For Boys. When we went to have a look around the school I lingered a while in the music room, wondering if anything in that particular room gave him inspiration, if it did then I missed it! I have always enjoyed most of their stuff, especially the classic like Holding Back The Years, but my favourite CD just has to be Stars (and also the video for the title track!) The CD itself contains 10 really good songs, all sung in that sexy soulful voice, but my ...

Massively melodious vocal work, incredible instrumental power.
I fail to think of any.
Wanderes - Antix
'Red Robin' is quite good.
The rest is dull and tedious.
Le Secret - Alcest
Innovative merging of black metal and indie shoegazing that works better than expected.
Lacking in variety, and often self-contradictory.
The American Dream - Mike Jones
Big hits
A bit early to be re-releasing ome tracks
Dactylis Glomerata - Candlemass
Some more Candlemass material.
Their weakest album, plagued by problems.

Dingy atmosphere.
So boring.
