Information ++++++++++++ Lene Marlin’s million selling album is a must have for any collection! You need to read this op to fully understand why this album should be bought. This album will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions maybe with some bumps along the way but most of it is plain sailing! The Releases. ++++++++++++++ Lene, the Norwegian singer/songwriter’s first single release and the first track on this album is “Sitting Down Here”. This was a top 5 smash hit for her and the single stayed in the charts for a massive 49 weeks! Her followup single "Unforgivable singer made it into the ... Read the complete review

After buying the CD single "Sitting down here" I ventured to listen to "Playing my game" and was hooked. The acoustic version with minimal music and her singing felt like it was being sung for me. Barely remembering to lock the front door I ran to the shops to buy the album, unfortunately they were shut and I had to go back the next day when they were open. The anticipation was almost too much by the time I managed to get home, take the prized CD from the case and shove it in the player. I commenced my usual trick of listening to the first couple of lines and then skipping to the next tune, but by the time the first three songs had played in ... Read the complete review

I bought this album because I like 'Sitting Down Here' (NOT the radio version... Tin tin out ruin every song they touch!) And I was pleasantly surprised. The album is well written and produced, however, the Norwegian music industry may not quite be up to the standards the UK has as it's quite obvious that one or two of the songs are derived from the same tune. But despite this, I was impressed, Lene Marlin has a beautiful voice, and she uses it well. The album isn't going to be in the best 100 of all time, but as far as new foreign artists go, she's one of the best. The song that stands out for me the most is 'The way we are' which ... Lene Marlin hailing from Norway brings to these coasts a melodic yet still upbeat album packed full of great songs. When i bought this album I had only ever heard Sitting Down Here and I have to say it was a bit of an impulse buy based on the fact I couldn't stop humming the tune! Fully prepared to not like anything other than the one track I knew I sat down...... and I sat there and I sat there and.....I fell in love with this album!! Not only are there an number of other tracks as upbeat and catchy as Sitting Down Here, there are also a number of soulful slow tracks which are just as good- quite an amazing feat! Lene Marlin has a wondeful voice ... Read the complete review

Thank god for this little gem from Norway, she has helped me so much to pass the time during my boring 12 hour night shifts. I just find Lene's voice so relaxing and soothing that it is impossible to get stressed whilst listening to her. Her voice just seems to glide through the air like silk over the skin. Although some of the guitar parts can come across as jagged in comparison, you just tend to forget they are even there. You just find yourself melting to the sound of her voice. But now the night shifts are gone forever, I thought I owed this review too her for all the hours she has helped me through those dull twilight ... Read the complete review
