Love Always - K-Ci & Jojo
by XICripZ - written on 04/08/09 (Very useful, 39 readings)
Rating:
"Love Always" came out in 1997 as the first album from the former Jodeci members K-Ci & JoJo as after their stint with influential quartet, the brothers went on to do things together to show how they could move on from their bad boy material, and more towards the ballad work. 1. "HBI" (Intro) 2. "Last Night s Letter" Getting things going here you see that the duo choose to dive right into something which you could have expected to get from someone such as R. Kelly at this sort of time as he turned his attention towards this kind of material (and to a degree away from the sensual stuff). It is a powerful one, and indicates where they ...

Love Always - K-Ci & Jojo
by Lakerfanster - written on 12/07/08 (Very useful, 94 readings)
Rating:
R&B group Jodeci ended in 1996, The Hailey brothers released their first album as a duo the following year after previously only recording a handful of songs as KCI & JoJo whilst they were still in Jodeci. As KCI * JoJo They are one of my favourite R&B artists. Love Always This album is a marked difference to the music they were making as one half of Jodeci. Although Jodeci had their fair share of slower songs they werent as smooth as some of the ballads you will find on this album. This album shows off the duo s vocal talent in a clearer way than their contributions to Jodeci. On Love Always they dump the attitude of the music they recorded in Jodeci and ...

It's Real - K-Ci & JoJo
by Lakerfanster - written on 20/07/08 (Very useful, 90 readings)
Rating:
Me Say Goodbye This ballad shows the difference in the vocal styles of the two brothers. KCI has a more Gospel style raspy tone to his voice and JoJo has a voice which sounds similar to Stevie Wonder when he errupts with his vocals. A brilliant track. 8. Tell Me It s Real This is the first moment where they used vocoders in KCI & JoJo, this is a gentle track that shows how well their vocals flow. A very catchy track which is the best of the mid tempo ballads on the album. One of the best on the album. 9. Life This is a very gospel tinged track with KCI sounding like he is conducting in a gospel choir. The beat however has a very hip hop style beat to it which ...
