Pop Princesses 2011
Disadvantages: Nothing too major!
Pop Princesses 2011 is a 'various artists' CD featuring female artists only. The CD was released in the United Kingdom in February 2011. The CD is currently available to buy from Play.com for £8.99 which I think is fairly good value for money.

CD2 features the videos to some (not all) of songs which to be honest is quite pointless in my point of view. There are numberous music channels on SKY where you can watch these videos over and over again. Even if you don't have Sky and so don't get to see the music channels, you can always watch the videos on youtube and so to me this feature is nothing special and more songs could have been added instead of these videoes.
I originally used to think that these Pop Princesses CDs were aimed at children. Although after having a listen to this album, I think it is suitable for all ages, including men. However, I do like the fact that it is a very girlie CD - songs by girls only.
I am really pleased with this CD because I like around 90% of the songs, which for me is a great thing because normally when I buy CDs like these (Now That's What I Call Music etc) I end up not liking the majority of songs. But with this CD I find I don't have to skip any of the songs.
There are some great songs on here; whilst I like the majority, ones which stand out for me include: 'Start Without You'- Alexandra Burke and 'Higher' - The Saturdays as well as 'Jai Ho' by the Pussycat Dolls.
I like that there are songs on here to suit every musical taste and moods. For example if you like upbeat songs you have 'Poison' by Nicole Scherzinger and 'Higher' by The Saturdays. Whereas if you are in a chilling-out mood, there are songs such as Rihanna's 'What's My Name?. If you are feeling emotional there is 'Your Song'by Ellie Goulding. So there is something for everyone.
Whilst there are a lot of songs on here, I would have thought that there could have been more songs on here from female artists in 2011. Where is Britney Spears? Where is Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira to name a few? So as you can see there are a lot more artists that could have been added.
All in all, I would definetely recommend this CD.
Thanks for reading!
