... albums can be so hit or miss in my opinion. Many end up twee or sickly sweet, driving you crazy before you re half way through. Others are just too staid - fine if you want a choral concert but not that good for creating atmosphere. Then there s the party albums... best left alone! Only Revolutions - Biffy Clyro ... CLYRO - ONLY REVOLUTIONS (2009) Biffy Clyro. Probably the best band in the UK at the moment! And that s saying something considering the current plethora of bands out there. But then whilst most are producing simple ballads and rhythms that equate to dullsville, there s something to be said about the Scottish three piece s own brand of quirky song-writing and complex tunes mitigated by Simon Neil s wonderful vocals and an undercurrent of edgy hard rock.
