Shades of Won't Get Fooled Again run through this live rock out with a distinct Who flavour. *Let's Get Pretentious. Medium paced rock number, but with a big horn production sound to it. Okay. This is Pete Townshend, so this isn't a straightforward album. That would be boring, wouldn't it Pete? So with this one you have a running commentary, and I have to say on occasion it gets to be annoying. It's a kind of play that runs through the album. Ray High is a rock musician who's on a comeback trail, except that he has problems, the first one is Alcohol and the other is the disdain with which he's held by an influential but vitriolic rock journalist, Ruth Streeting. Early U.S. power metal, from metal's golden age. Vocals may irritate, and it's all more than a little daft.

Proves the band's folk talents. No metal here, which may disappoint fans.
