Yet another top Stereophonics album!!! I think this is great - Some people have commented that now two originals have gone the bend has gone electro pop. But I think the sound's there, just a little evolved! 12 tracks - 40 minutes good noise! 1. Soldiers Make Good Targets - appropriate comment on the era? 2. Pass The Buck - Quite catchy with the bbb bit!!! Shouts and yells with some typical Stereophonics lyrics. 3. It Means Nothing - depressing song with a good tune. 4. Bank Holiday Monday - good feeling and a song always hammered on the radio on a Bank holiday Monday! 5. Daisy Lane - I ... Read the complete review

This is easily the best Stereophonics album to date. The best songs on the album Bank Holiday Monday, My Friends and I Could Lose Ya. The album sounds unlike any Stereophonics album ever written, mainly due to 'Phonics tradition of no album sounding the same. Unlike LSVO, the are not as many overdubs and digital effects, just raw uncompromising Brtish Trad-rock (Traditional Rock for those of you who don't know) The most impressive sound on the album must be slow burner Stone whcih starts off with a small over dubbed guitar riff and then turns into a massive sounding chorus laden with guitar overdubs and an intresting drum beat for the chorus. I remember hearing this album for the first time. I loved but I've found that it starts to tire quicker than the first two albums (Word Gets Around & Performance & Cocktails). This album seems to lack the hook but then I suppose you could argue that it's a more grown up sound in some respects. This album has tracks that I personally have to skip. Soldiers Make Good Targets and Bright Red Star being the weakest for me. Things get goings when Pass the Buck kicks in though. Possibly my favourite track on the album. It's raw, loud and rocky. It Means Nothing is very mellow and one of those tracks that makes you think. Daisy Lane and Stone are also mellow tracks. ... Read the complete review
