I was pushed to do this review after hearing a new song of theirs on radio 1. It brought back the happy thoughts that I experience whenever I listen to this album. @#!* was the first album of theirs I had come into contact with, having bought it on a whim after I saw a review in Kerrang magazine. Admittedly I was first captivated by the artwork, an anime (big eyes & head, small body) like kid holding a lit match while buildings around him burn. So thanks to Kerrang I know about one of the greatest melodic punk bands on this earth, and hopefully by writing this review someone else, like me, will buy this cd on a whim and enjoy it as much as I have. Great listen from start to end. 
Maybe not as good as the albums to come from the band Best Tracks: CD1 - Hitsville U.K., Something About England, Somebody Got Murdered, One More Time, Up in Heaven (Not Only Here), Best Tracks: CD2 - Police on My Back, The Equaliser, The Call Up, Washington Bullets, Charlie Don't Surf Not for the weak Bizarre, Pretty, Uncomparable Challenging Flashes of genius, particularly the 'Dookie' tracks. 'Nice Guys Finish Last' sucks. Contains many popular Cure hits, some new stuff, and a limited edition acoustic versions CD with some recordings that supercede the original studio versions, in my opinion Commercially biased, nary a look in to the darker side of The Cure, there's a few dud songs in there, and the inlay booklet's a bit sparse Great songs here on offer Not as good as Life thru a LensLock Up The Wolves - Dio
Valiant effort. Sub-par incarnation of the band can't achieve too much.
Lucidity - Delain
Strong guitars, soaring keyboards and excellent vocals Growly vocals feel a little out of place at time
Magica - Dio
Dio gets his mojo back, and celebrates in bombastic concept album style. Riffs are still repetitive and plodding.
Massive Killing Capacity - Dismember
Endlessly catchy guitar riffs and successful melodic experimentation. Central songs are less memorable.
Master Of The Moon - Dio
Effective re-tread of Dio's 1990s sound. Still essentially a throwback, and a dull one at that.
Metatron - Darkwell
Commendably unusual and varied, with great vocals. Frequently bland and dull.
Last In Line - Dio
More classic metal, with Dio's best song in the title track. Essentially nine more tracks of the same.
Leave Scars - Dark Angel
A heavier take on eighties thrash. Less memorable than its predecessor.
Lady Of The Lore - Desdemona
Fun power metal. Heard it all before.
