It is difficult to overestimate the importance of Punk In Drublic, NOFX's sixth full-length album. At the time of its release bands like Green Day, The Offspring and Bad Religion were signing to major labels and performing on MTV; factors which, coupled with NOFX's vehement anti-commercialism policy (one which, seemingly, has latterly been relaxed somewhat), served to put this record into the shadows when in all truth it should have been the stepping stone to much greater success. Still, this does in no way detract from the fact that this album, clocking in at around 40 minutes, is a pure gem from first to last. Unlike on many previous releases the band resist ... Punk in drublic is a little play around with the first letters to really make drunk in public however it fits nicely as nofx are a punk band. Its their fifth studio album as a band and was released way back in 1994. Its also one of their most well known albums as well as one of their most commercially successful albums too. The first song linoum is just the perfect skate song, its fast paced and has perfect lyrics and vocals as well as amazing guitar driving it. Its hard to explain why its such a good song but it kind of just makes me want to sing along or go out and skate to it, and I guess that makes it a good song. The second song off the album ... I’ve gotta admit, I have been sort of going off all this punk stuff recently. Until just a few days ago that is, when I unearthed a load of old cassettes I had hidden away in an old shoebox. I was given copies of all but the most recent of NOFX’s releases, and ‘Punk In Drublic’ was one of them. The greatest punk album ever!! Those are the only things a punk rocker needs to know about NOFX's seventh release (from 1994). This album has so many classic numbers on it I wouldn't know where to begin, except from the start. Over 15 years of playing underground punk, NOFX have released ten albums in their career. The best by ... Read the complete review

"Punk in Drublic" is one of the best punk albums to have ever existed. NOFX are quite simply a great band, and a credit to punkers everywhere. "Punk in Drublic" combines raw punk sounds with funny lyrics and produces a sound unique to NOFX and their particlar brand of music. Their latest offering, "Pump up the Valuum" is also a great album, and if you like that then you will definately like this. See also "Heavy Petting Zoo" and "So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes". These are musts for punk fans anywhere. ... Read the complete review
