PUNK O RAMA 3 - EPITAPH RECORDS ------------------------------- Epitaph Records is one of the worlds biggest punk labels, starting as a means for Bad Religion to release their first 7 inch back in 1980, it has since grown to be home of many world famous punk bands. The label started when Brett Gurewitz, Guitarist with Bad Religion, borrowed 2000 dollars from his dad, so that his band could release its first record. In the early 1990's punk music found its way back into the mainstream, mostly due to two bands, Green Day and The Offspring, well luckily for Epitaph, the Offspring were one of their bands, and with their album ... This is my opinion on Punk-O-rama 4 released by Epitaph in 1999 (i think). Previous punk-O-rama extravaganzas have included songs like 'We put gasoline on the fore and now we have stumps for arms and no eyebrows' (by NoFx) and many a Rancid song, not to mention many smaller bands and some heavyweight players suc has Pennywise and Less Than Jake. ....i cant spell so do get annoyed with me ok i warned you..... Punk-o-Rama 3 is a brillent album. It's a single cd compilation. It has some of the best names in punk on this album, like Pennywise and Rancid. It has 27 songs on it, so you are bound to like a few songs on it, but this isnt a problem actually as 99% of the songs are good, but it does have some really bad ones too. The album is like a taster for all the bands contained on the cd as it is only £4.99 which i dont fink is half bad. This album is a good way to see which bands u will like. This also contains one song that u cant buy anywhere else by NOFX called "We threw Gasoline on ... Read the complete review
