having bought clubland cd's in the past and have sometimes been dissapointed i was in two minds weather or not to purchase this one. i decided to go ahead and buy it and i am very glad. all the tracks are up to date and have been mixed brilliantly. everytime i play this cd it makes me want to get up and dance! the only downside is that some of the beats can become very repetitive and that some good parts of the song can be missed out however this is to be expected when remixing a song you put your own trademark on it. i would recomend this cd to anyone who wants the feeling of a nightclub in their home with modern trance music. this is a must have for partygoers and can also make a ...

into happy hardcore club anthems. Number one singles from the Black Eyed Peas, Pixie Lott, The Noisettes, Taylor Swift and Tinchy Stryder all get the treatment here for example, to Various degrees of success, although curiously, Lady Gaga s Poker Face remains here unchanged (and is still brilliant). The label favourites all get yet another outing here, again with varying degrees of appeal. The new Cascada tune (Evacuate the Dancefloor) leads the way with a Euro remix that does little to convince us that the song is that different to anything from the group s first two albums (even though the single just fought off Michael Jackson to give the group its first ever number ...

Rough Guide To The Music Of Eastern Europe
by MagdaDH - written on 22/06/09 (Very useful, 41 readings)
Rating:
countries of the former Soviet block (and sometimes includes Greece). On this album, "Eastern Europe" is actually more of an alternative label for the Balkans. Most tracks come from Artists from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and countries of former Yugoslavia, although there is one track from a Russian band, and one from Polish mountains. I can understand this, as the Balkans are probably musically the most interesting and there is only very limited number of connoisseurs of GDR disco and other more obscure manifestations of Eastern European music. Still, the name would have fitted better if we had a little bit less from the Balkans, and a little bit more from ...

Play - Doug E. Fresh
Hip-Hop & Rap - East Coast - 1995
Tales Of Mystery And Imagination - The Alan Parsons Project
A varied and well-produced concept album.
Fails to capture the spirit of Poe's works.
Into The Mourning - All Soul's Day
Decent enough imitation of the Candlemass sound, with the atmosphere of a frozen cathedral.
Overlong and lacking in imagination. There's also a rubbish hidden song that destroys the mood.
Music of the Trees - Paul Forrest
gentle, earthy, spiritual music
none
Lovejunk - The Refugees
a hybrid of pop tunes and rock attitude
none
The Ancient Realm - Aeveron
Successful combination of metal influences, with a crystal clear production job.
A little uneven and confused, and almost impossible to come by.
Wigand - Adorned Brood
Interesting and dogmatic take on the folk metal genre.
Becomes repetitive and dull fairly quickly, winding up discordant more often than harmonious.
B-day
Great vocals, full of good tracks
Beyoncé just didn't seem to push the envelope enough - the album lacks depth
The Thrash of Naked Limbs - My Dying Bride
