Pyaar Impossible's OST is certainly different from the usual Yash Raj Film albums. Salim-Sulaiman have always been associated with quality music and this album has added their diversity as music composers.
'Alisha' kicks off with Anushka Manchandani who is reputed for such songs which belongs to more of a pop genre. Anushka is at ease, effortlessly switching between hindi and English portions with much aplomb! While Alisha isn't a spontaneous chartbuster,it carries a lot of youth appeal like the rest of the album.
Dominique Cerejo and Vishal Dadhlani team up for 'Pyaar Impossible'-which follows a similar route like the first track. Salim Sulaiman's tune is refreshing, the use of instruments is different from the usual Indian songs. The lyrics are quite cute and the song has a happy feel to it.
'You and Me' is probably the most romantic track of the album-the mood is similar and the relaxed ambience makes you enjoy the track. The lyrics are simple and ensures an easy listen. Both Benny Dayal and Neha Bhasin seem to enjoy themselves.
Anushka Manchandani comes back with '10 on 10'- an extremely catchy track! Anushka's voice is full of rockstar attitude, the lyrics are extremely catchy and fun. Salim-Sulaiman proves their diversity with such a rocking song;they prove that they are equally good with western songs! 10 on 10 for this song!!
When 'Ek Thi Ladki' starts, you wonder where its heading, but this song is certainly one of the sweetest song of the year! Sung by a kid girl called Rishika Sawant,it seems like a track of a Disney film. An extremely enjoyable track this one!
The album ends with remixed versions for 'Alisha' and 'Pyaar Impossible' with added tempo and beats. Both the remixes are as good as the originals.
Pyaar impossible's OST is not revolutionary by any standards, nor will it be remembered for years to come. But its one album that you would enjoy listening to. And its another feather in Salim-Sulaiman's cap.
