Queen is the debut album the band Queen. It was released in July 1973 and was the building blocks of for what was to come. It was recorded at Trident Studios and De Lane Lea Music Centre, London. De Lane Lea Music Centre was a brand new recording studio and Queen were asks to try it out to make sure it was all set for the big bands of the time. This was a massive break for Queen as recording time was not cheap. Queen emerged in 1973 with their first album, Queen. Prior to this albums release, Queen released a single, "Keep Yourself Alive", also containing "Son and Daughter". In my opinion, this was Queen at their best, For it was during the 70's that Queen were a heavy band. Most noticeably, they have NO songs from the Greatest Hits, however, do not be put off, Queen were at a stage in their career, where they produced less hits. The best songs on this album are "Keep Yourself Alive" and "Great King Rat". My main criticism of this album is that, in my opinion "Seven Seas of Rhye" is a shorter and pretty pointless ...
