I like to review unknown bands here on Dooyoo, I mean, what is the point of reviewing the likes of Robbie Williams, we all know who he is, and it isn’t actually going to help anybody, other thing being I hate his music and all he represents. I have written a couple of reviews on the band Amen, and I hope I have got a few of you to get out there on to Napster and get a couple of their tracks, as this can only help them in the long run, either that or pop down to your local record shop where you will find the album at a cheap price, it is worth the money. That pretty much runs in with this band, Raging SpeedHorn, I have seen them live twice, and ... Read the complete review

Raging Speedhorn 1.Superscud- Supringsly good lyrics for a song, that seems to be a lot of heavy shouting with very good backing guitars and excellent drums. 'I've seen the hate that you bring/ I've been the fate that you sing'. 2.Redweed- A very good introduction which must've had the guitarist in a heaving sweat at the sheer speed of the notes played. Once again a very aggresive and loud piece of music which seems to let out a lot of the bands anger with lyrics such as 'you're just a f*cking Low-life/Your lifes a f*cking lie/You live in your mind/screaming inside/screaming is f*cking blind'. 3.Knives ... This album is absolutely great!!!!! If great has recently changed meaning to terrible. When you first hear this you think, hey I heard this before, when my little baby sister was deprived of a Milky Way. There are only ten tracks, each one sounds the same – like a faggot of wood hitting an old biscuit tin while some man has a nail pushed through his foot causing him to scream. I bought this album because everyone was saying how brilliant and new it was. Upon inserting it into my hi-fi I pressed play. One minute into the first track and I had left the room annoyed that I had been led into buying something so awful. Raging Speedhorn toured with MuDvAyNe who, ... Read the complete review

Raging Speedhorn are a exellent example of some good Metal to come out of Britain. There is also lots more bands like Charger and Earthtone9. They are a very good live band and also on the CD.RSH have two singers and on the self titled album you can really tell this because one is high pitched and one is low pitched. This is shown on the song 'thumper' and 'mandan'. The album is a very heavy album. so if you dont like heavy music this is probably not the album for you, but if you do this is a album for you. RSH are fast, the songs 'redweed , 'deathrow dogs','mandan' and 'thumper'are good examples of this. ... Read the complete review

Raging Speedhorn have a very Sabbathy vibe to their riffs, pounding out solid grooves and catchy riffs with ease. To me - and I know i'm once again in the minority - this album is very easy to listen to. It could easily be played as atmospheric mood music or cranked up to jump around and scream to. Twin vocalists Loughlin and Regan scream over the top of each other with high and low pitched death screams respectively. I was happy with the fact that there is NO singing on this album at all - only screaming. This might seem like hell to most people (wimps!) but with the onslaught of all this commercial Nu metal by numbers crap with the obligatory singy, ... Read the complete review

Generally weak

Some of the best lyrical rhyming ever
Not for everyones taste
Miles Gurtu - Robert Miles & Trilok Gurtu
A blend of intricate beats, varied jazzy melodies and experimental soundscapes.
Over-tweaking disrupts the ambience occasionally. No mainstream appeal. Some tracks don't work.
The Boy Who Knew Too Much - Mika
great variety of music used,
to some listeners it won't match his debut, very similar to his last record
Bottled At Source - The Best Of The Source Years - Turin Brakes
A great album of rare and unreleased material with a "best of" compilation attached.
None to speak of. Lyrics in the sleeve notes would have been a good addition.
Shakedown 2 - Freemasons
It's, like, totally cool
None - it's one of the best albums I've ever bought
El Cid - The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus
Classic Rosza score finally done justice with impeccably fantastic re-recording
Sticklers will still find things to pack apart, but this is one of the best re-recordings thus far

most guests are used to best of their ability without taking over, variety of sounds, personal songs
