Raising Sand - Robert Plant / Alison Krauss Review (Raising Sand - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss)
Member Name: richards123
Advantages: legendary rockstar combined with bluegrass singer. Disadvantages: legendary rockstar combined with bluegrass singer. i really didnt know what to expect with this album. robert plant, the legendary led zepplin front man and allison krauss, the...well...singer. i didnt really have any expectations for this album other than that of robert plant. some of the songs are good however most really arent my cup of tea. when playing them out loud people ask me what it is and tell me how they dont really like it. then i tell them its robert plant and their face lights up and their view changes somewhat. most people really are surprised with the combination of the two artists and i have to say most dont really enjoy the combination too well. this album combines wierd sounds with strange vocals to make a really...well...wierd album. if i had the choice of buying this album again i wouldnt. i got so bored of most of the sogns i havent listened to it more than once and would much rather put on some newton faulkner to ease the mood. Summary: wouldnt really reccomend buying unless youve heard the album and like it |
