After the huge success of their first record, Bush could have put out another record just like it and people would have been more than happy to snap it up. While this one bears a lot of similarity to Sixteen Stone, I think they ventured out from the safety of that formula to some different styles and rhythms on Razorblade Suitcase. They give you 13 songs and over 61 minutes of music, most of it worthwhile. The lyrics are listed out of order for some reason, maybe they changed the order of the songs at the last minute. The songs are: Personal Holloway Greedy Fly Swallowed Insect Kin Cold Contagious A Tendency to Start Fires Mouth ... Read the complete review

"Warm sun... Leery... hold me up... I'm followed... borrowed... Swallowed..." While this album is a bit outdated to be reviewed, I did not want this album to go down as "just another one of those alternative albums". This album is purely magical- never before have I heard lyrics that could tear an entire vortex of emotions apart. Gavin Rossdale is incredible when it comes to composing lyrics- I honestly bought the album at first just to read them but have since grown to savor the intense-driven music that these brits are renounced for. "You were wide awake of me just like the English sun..." ... Read the complete review

Probably the best Bush album currently available. Quite different to "The Science of Things", this album is slightly more upbeat. The track that everybody will recognise no doubt is "Swallowed" his or her first big hit. This is a quality track but is matched by others on the album; less well know, including "Personal Holloway", "Communicator" and "Mouth". This should be the starting point of anyone who likes some Bush songs but has not yet bough an album. As one of those albums that you can listen to all the way through without skipping any one track it is great value for money. ... Read the complete review

Of the Bush albums, this was the last I picked up. And it's probably their least impressive one, although not without it's moments. The standout track is Swallowed. I knew this before I'd got the album, and so will most people. And to be honest, nothing else matches this track. Greedy Fly is good, has a great riff, but the rest just doesn't gell. Maybe it's just that that 16 Stone and Science.. are so good, but I just find this one disappointing. Still, probably better than a lot of bands' best. I'd say get it, but don't expect fireworks.. ... Read the complete review
