READY FOR THE WEEKEND is the title of Scottish artist CALVIN HARRIS' album.
The album features 14 tracks.

The opening song THE RAIN is a fast paced track with a great beat that kicks in with some vocals and a funky rhythm that needs to be turned up loud.

My favourite song on the album is READY FOR THE WEEKEND. The song has an uplifting effect through the chorus which has a great sound and decent vocals.

STARS COME OUT is an energetic song full of vigour that has some decent lyrics.

YOU USED TO HOLD ME features great melodies aided by the brilliant rhythms that will get you on the dance floor.

BLUE is a song that lacked energy although the rhythm was okay and the vocals were strong, but the verses were weak and the chorus lacklustre.

I'M NOT ALONE is a more mellow track with a soothing feel to it which relaxes you while listening.

FLASHBACK reverts back to a fast paced beat which has a feel good effect and some positive vibes.

WORST DAY features vocals from IZZA KIZZA which add nothing to the song as his vocals are weak and don't go with the melodies that are lacking any vigour.

RELAX gets better the more you hear it as it starts of slow though builds to a cracking chorus and finale.

LIMITS is a tune with a belting intro that comes even more to life when the vocals enter with real energy in the rhythm and a fantastic dance beat.

BURNS NIGHT featured lyrics that were about Harris' Scottish roots and had a celtic feel to it which made it sound lively.

YEAH YEAH YEAH LA LA LA and 5ILICONEATO are two solid dance tracks although nothing more than album filler.

DANCE WIV ME feaatures lyrics from DIZZEE RASCAL and is a belting dance track with a corking chorus which is really catchy and a impressive dance beat that concludes the album positevely.

Overall, this is a strong dance album with lots of energetic tracks. The range of supporting artists to provide vocals differs from good to bad though most songs are decent. The songs all have a positive vibe and feel good feeling that will put a smile on your face.
