I have been really daring this week, and I have listened to some CD?s which I have never considered to be to my liking previously, but I have to give them at least one listen, otherwise I might be missing out on something. Now, I like Bryan Adams, the odd song is nice, but I have not heard any of his earlier stuff, so I decided to give ?Reckless? a go, actually two goes, as I am listening to it again, whilst I write this review, just to make sure I have not missed anything. Anyway, I can?t review anything new, because it probably has not been added to the site! I researched the album, and was mildly surprised to discover that it is 18 years old. No wonder I had ... Bryan Adams is an interesting character. He's not as simple as his music. Not only does he have a genuine social conscious through his various charities and foundations for the environment he's an accomplished photographer with exhibitions around the world, including the Saatchi Gallery in London. He's not a tedious Bono eco big mouth by any means, but discreet and proactive, the real deal, stamped with the vegan badge of credibility, and greatly respected for that. He speaks fluent French and his song "We're Gonna Win" from his album 18 Til I Die, is dedicated to Cheslea football club, Adams a season ticket holder! Now does that sound like a cool guy or what! ... Read the complete review

Can it really have been 1984 when this album was released? It sounds just as good today as when I originally bought it. All the songs on the album are straight ahead no nonsense rock songs ( aside from the ballad "Heaven" which is still excellent ) and to be honest they all sound the same. Don't let that you ut you off though because if you like one, you like tham all! It's difficult to pick any stand out tracks as they are all brilliant but the singles you may remember, "Somebody", "Run To You" and "It's Only Love" ( the duet with Tina Turner ) are particular highlights. This is a classic ... Read the complete review

"Reckless", was the follow up to Bryan`s breakthrough album "Cuts Like A Knife" and in my opinion is his best to date. Although it didn`t include any major number one hit singles like "Everything I Do I Do It For You" (from his "Waking Up The Neighbours" album), it is filled with, some classic rock songs all of which are brilliant. These rock songs include "Kids Wanna Rock", "Its Only Love" (featuring Tina Turner), "She`s Only Happy When She`s Dancin`", "One Night Love Affair", "Long Gone" and the brilliant tracks "Summer Of '69", "Run To You" and ...
