Being a huge fan of Firewater and having found Cop Shoot Cop reasonably entertaining, I knew I had to give Red Expendables album a chance when I found out it was formed by the remaining members of Cop Shoot Cop when A. Todd left. The style of this album is quite similar to Cop Shoot Cop, with an earlyish noise rock sound but it's not quite as in your face, the music also sounds rooted in grunge but it's definitely a more chaotic sound than plodders like Pearl Jam, if you compare it to Cop Shoot Cop then the vocals are notably weaker but possibly more approachable, there's a hint of a Kurt Cobain sound in there but without the charm.
