 ... definitely a more chaotic sound than plodders like Pearl Jam, if you compare it to Cop Shoot Cop then the vocals are notably weaker but possibly more approachable, there's a hint of a Kurt Cobain sound in there but without the charm. Perhaps one of the weaker aspects of this album is the lyrcal content which is not really memorable at all, the band seem to use way too many metaphors which make it sound clichéd. Being a huge fan of Firewater and having found Cop Shoot Cop reasonably entertaining, I knew I had to give Red Expendables album a chance when I found out it was formed by the remaining members of Cop Shoot Cop when A. Todd left. The style of this album is quite similar to Cop Shoot Cop, with an earlyish noise rock sound but it's not quite as in your face, the music also sounds rooted in grunge but it's definitely a more chaotic sound than plodders like Pearl Jam, if you compare it to Cop Shoot Cop then the vocals are notably weaker but possibly more approachable, there's a hint of a Kurt Cobain sound in there but without the charm. Some nice songs, but not many Nothing that is really impressive

Amazing songs writen from the heart, things you can relate too. If you don't like a lot of backing noise, it isn't for you I'm afriad.
