Right... well yes but a hairier beast I'm ... more ... not sure. I loved their debut album 'Red Light Fever' but I loved the Darkness. Though I can't claim it's a bad thing, it just felt as though I was listening to a new Darkness album.
I've yet to see Hot Leg live and maybe then the differences will show, but through just audio, it's Darkness all over. It's all still very tongue in cheek and good fun. Hawkin's voice is as high pitched and wild as ever and some of the lyrics are so close to the mark I'm not sure how they ever got away with them in The Darkness and same ...more |

For those of you who have not heard of Hot Leg, I'm sure you have heard of The Darkness, who hit the top of the charts with 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' a few years back. Sadly the Darkness are no more, however Justin Hawkins, ex Darkness frontman, has formed a new band, Hot Leg, and they sound ever so familiar...
