The sound is very similar to modern-day Dimmu Borgir, though less synthetic and more mellow, particularly in the later songs where Hreidmarr sings in French amidst the usual harsh black metal screeching, and the tempo slows accordingly. The orchestral dominance does have an effect on the power and efforts of the regular rock musicians and means they never really throw out anything interesting apart from some reasonably pleasant guitar melodies in songs like 'Sister September,' and with most lasting between six to eigh...more

Talented French symphonic prog, for fans of early Genesis. Hard for newcomers to appreciate.

Unusual, intelligent songs; nice combination of genres; musicianship Sometimes annoying juvenilia style lyrics; some weak tracks

Relaxing and eclectic ambience. Only suited for relaxation or background music, otherwise soon becomes repetitive and dull.

Has plenty of songs that can easily be related to life in general. The odd crazy/mad lyric and song.

Excellent debut album that had a great sound to it None

Supreme catchiness with dark subject matter None
