Island Fire - Solabeat Alliance ... Alliance was a UK Ska Punk band that once toured relentlessly across the country. The band split up several years ago, they did however leave in their wake the Island Fire album and the fantastic Rise On Up EP also. With Rise On Up the band seemed to be going for that live edge which had not been captured with the bands previous two EP efforts beforehand, and with the Rise On Up EP the band came up tops. This album however showed the band in a whole new light in that the production of it is extremely different and to be quite honest with you the album just isn t particularly great at all. Complete Madness - Madness ... have been making some playlists on my ipod recently and added a Madness track (playlist was called Paul 16-18), then another, and before I knew it I thought I might as well buy the album. It works out cheaper on itunes to do that anyways. Madness first hit the charts and radio as I was leaving school, or about to. Although they first formed around 76, I first heard of them in 78, I left school in 79. Losers, Kings And Things We Don't Understand - Less Than Jake ... Than Jake s 1995 album Losers, Kings, and Things We Don t Understand is a compilation of early material recorded by the band comprising of a grand total of 21 tracks. Their first studio album Pezcore was released in 1995 also, but three years worth of material is included here from the early independent releases of the band. In the early days of Less Than Jake many 7" vinyl records were put out and this is therefore fundamentally what this release is made up of; tracks featured on these early 7" records.
